The minty aftertaste - To Prevent
I haven't known that there is a way to rid the minty flavor we get from brushing our teeth. However, I have just learnt that there is a way for this bad circumstance while I was searching on the internet. Moreover, I want to share this so that one who doesn't know can learn its solution.
A man whose name is Redditor EtherBoo started brushing his teeth in the shower. Shortly after, he realized that he didn't have the minty aftertaste. However, he had the minty aftertaste when brushing his teeth with cold water. Hence, It was understood that rinsing with hot water is the solution of this annoying situation.
Thanks to hot water, we don't have to taste the bad taste.
Enjoy your meal!

The Missionary Church of Kopimism
In 2010, Isak Gerson who is a philosophy student founded a new religion which name is The Missionary Church of Kopimism. This religion is totally related with copy and paste. Also who is believe in this religion can use torrent and other private stuff legally.
Their three main ideas
Copying of information is ethically right;
Dissemination of information is ethically right;
Copymixing is a sacred kind of copying, more so than the perfect, digital copying, because it expands and enhances the existing wealth of information
Today, this church has almost 3,000 member.

Her Hair Killed Her
Frances Warren who was 26 and lived in England killed herself
because of her hair color.
Her the most feared thing was her hair color’s changing.
Until her death, she had changed her hair color several times and she decided
to use a hair color which had been used and liked by her.
She messaged to her hairdresser 50 times in order to keep her
hair color but her hairdresser hadn’t care about her messages.
Two days later,
her body was found in a jungle.
She killed herself because of depression.
I shared this news to say that “Thank you God, I have my
mind!”
Of course not, it was a joke.
In my opinion, being an obsessed person gets people lonely.
That people often decide something
themselves and increasingly they don’t care about other ideas and people.
Everything must be the way they want and if not, they still want to live they
want.
So, feeling or being alone is enough to hurt everything.
I tried to translate myself :)

Homework Problem
Since current
education system appeared, there is a homework problem.Almost all students don't
want to do homework.Homework is given by teacher due to comprehend exactly but
students don't want. There are some reasons for not doing homework.
The first reason,
homework levels aren’t stable. Some of homework is too easy or too hard.Finding
out proper homework is hard current days.Because students which are in the same
classroom aren't same.Their brains process different from each other. Therefore, giving
same level homework to all students isn’t
beneficial.
The second
reason, students prefer to playing computer games or chating with their friends
to doing homework.Since computer and android telephones invented, students
haven’t wanted to do their homework because these diveces attract students. They usually spend
their time with these diveces and they are harmed by these.
To sum up, I
think teacher should stop to give same homework and students should stop wasting
their time and know their responsibilities before it is too late.

First Step - Rıdvan Kaşıkçı
I personally recommend you to watch this video. The video shows us the power of first step. I think we all expect first attempt from other person. Of course, this is related to be introverted or be extrovert. We should be extrovert to take the initiative. However, if we cannot do it, I think we may only try it.

The Power of Introverts
Susan Cain, who is the writer of a book called "Quiet: The Power of Introverts", states that the world system promotes a world of extroverts whereas introverts are as special as extroverts and we need them in our society.
Here you can find a test to see if you are an introvert or an extrovert: http://www.thepowerofintroverts.com/quiet-quiz-are-you-an-introvert/

11 Things You're Terrified Of, But Shouldn't Be
by Burcu İrem Tan
You aren't swallowing tons of spiders while you sleep, so don't worry.
Occasionally the things that come to elicit the most collective fear start as harmless mistruths and grow into full blown sources of national paranoia. In times like these, we all just need to take a deep breath and stop to consider if we're being rational. Perhaps FDR's famous claim that "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself" isn't quite applicable -- we do live in a world with stock market bubbles and car crashes and all sorts of other terrible things. Despite all of this though, here are 13 things you shouldn't actually be scared of.
Being home alone shouldn't be scary! Things turned out well for Kevin McCallister.
1. Hitchhiking in America
Although empirical data about the exact number of hitchhiking encounters that have ended in disaster is a bit lacking, a consensus seems to be emerging that fears about the once popular American pastime are overblown. Gruesome real horror stories like the Santa Rosa murders, paired with aggressive negative ad campaigns scared a generation enough to ruin the cheap transportation option, even if the incidents of crime were few and far between.
Besides the environmental and cost benefits of this impromptu ride-sharing, the loss of hitchhiking is worthy of mourning, as it fostered a culture of trust by allowing complete strangers from different parts of the country to sit down and have a conversation. Nowadays, politicians like former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, have suggested we return to this system of trust -- a sentiment seconded by the New York Times. Despite these small campaigns, the return of hitchhiking still feels sadly unlikely.
2. Icky bacteria.
We have an often misguided obsession with excessively cleaning everything in our paths -- including our own bodies -- so it's important to have a healthy understanding that not all bacteria is harmful to you. Less than one percent of bacteria carries diseases and quite a bit of it is actually good for you.
With this in mind, obsessively trying to rid ourselves of all bacteria is a bizarre goal we've been taught to desire. The manner in which we've attempted to do this is also problematic. Antibacterial soaps are increasingly being thought of as misleading, and the FDA is starting to crack down on the soap manufacturers' health claims. Some of these soaps might even be harmful to your health.
3. Swallowing spiders while you sleep.
You are almost definitely swallowing zero spiders while you sleep every year, as opposed to the dozens claimed in schoolyard legend. You're welcome.
Logically, spiders don't want to enter a mysterious hole that is emitting warm air, or for that matter, come near a living being that rolls around and moves unexpectedly. Also, you probably don't sleep with your mouth wide open all the time. Even if you do, swallowing just anything that comes into your mouth while you sleep isn't the only outcome to this encounter.
4. Getting vaccinated.
Despite what Katie Couric promoted (and later apologized for), getting vaccinated should not be a fear-filled experience. Adverse complications due to vaccinations areextremely rare, and the cost of vaccination phobias, in terms of both lives and money, far outweighs the minimal risk of complication.
5. Video game violence.
In the rush to explain the nation's far too frequent mass shootings, politicians and pundits frequently point fingers at violent video games as catalysts. But extensive studies have not been able to back up this scapegoating. The strongest link to any behavioral implications that has been found is a potential for short-term increases in aggression while and shortly after playing violent video games, but nobody has been able to find any direct causation between these games and a broader desire to carry out real-life violent crime.
When looking at video game consumption world wide, the United States is far from number one and yet outpaces all other countries in the top 10 in gun-related murdersby leaps and bounds.
6. Flying in an airplane.
Flying is already far safer than car transportation and is only getting safer asaeronautical technology continues to improve. Despite the tragedies of 9/11, which greatly affected the airline industry, airplane hijackings and airport terrorism are extremely rare, and casualties even rarer. The skies are safe and there's nothing like looking out a window and seeing the world far below you. Don't let your fear keep you out of the airport. If anything, let their high ticket prices and general ability to be annoying do that instead.
7. Using a cellphone at the gas station.
The urban legend of cell signals lighting gas fires has been passed down a few times --sometimes even by local fire chiefs in official statements -- but according to the FCC, there is "no evidence that these reports are true." The real culprit of these conflagrations (which are extremely rare) could be anything from static electricitydrivers fail to expel before exiting their car, to someone being dumb enough to use a lighter around the pump.
The only thing you should worry about regarding cellphone use and filling your gas tank is making sure your the call doesn't distract you enough to make some sort of other mistake.
8. Spontaneous combustion.
Despite the "stories," spontaneous combustion is almost definitely not real. The "almost" only exists because just like ghosts or Bigfoot, it's very hard to prove definitively that it has never happened. This said, almost all cases of "spontaneous combustion" involve very young or very old people who happened to be near flammable material or even fire at the time of the incident. Nobody has ever capturedsolid evidence of spontaneous combustion as it's happening.
Even if spontaneous combustion were some unexplained yet real phenomenon, you still shouldn't be terrified of it. There's only around one case reported every year or so, meaning the likelihood of you ever going up in flames without warning is effectively zero.
9. Swallowing gum. Forever.
This isn't true.
Almost everyone's digestive system can handle gum fairly easily, although swallowing gum on the regular still isn't recommended. There was one case of a four-year-old who ate five to seven pieces of gum a day for an extended period of time and then had to have it all suctioned out of his rectum. That probably won't have to happen to you though, unless you have some sort of gum-eating obsession.
10. Cracking knuckles causing arthritis.
This one's also a myth. Cracking knuckles hasn't been found to be either beneficial or detrimental and no scientific evidence has been able to prove that the practice actually causes arthritis. The warnings against cracking your joints are more cautionary guesses, because despite the lack of definitive evidence, experts still seem resistant to the idea that there can be no harm whatsoever from all that popping.
But even if your knuckle-cracking habit isn't bad for you, it's probably at least annoying to everyone around you.
11. Sharks.
Despite what Steven Spielberg might have done to your psyche with the movie, "Jaws," shark attacks are few and far between and human deaths caused by sharks are even rarer. To underscore just how overblown this fear is, so many everyday things we encounter kill more people every year than sharks. Fatal dog attacks even take place more frequently. This doesn't meant you should go messing around with sharks, but don't let them keep you out of the ocean entirely.
Oh, and it's also worth noting that humans kill 11,417 sharks every hour. Just sayin'.

Effective Diplomacy Matters. Agree or Disagree? by YASR AVCU
Diplomacy includes arbitration, mediation and conferences, also international organizations may be a tool of diplomacy because of their feature of providing balance of power. So, we can say that diplomacy is important to provide order, to provide balance of power and it stabilizes relations between especially nation states. If there is no war or military action between two states, then diplomacy is effective in there, so for avoiding war or military action, effective diplomacy matters. In this case, interests or economic relations between states are significant, especially according to realists, these interests and economic relations facilitates implementation of diplomacy which is used everywhere around the world. As I mentioned above, diplomacy is art and science. Therefore, for effective diplomacy, diplomats should be talented and intelligent, they should have knowledge about foreign policy of own country and other countries to shape foreign policy of their own country. Diplomats should observe the economy, culture and politics of other countries, very well. I will try to prove my argument that effective diplomacy matters by giving some examples and mentioning functions of diplomacy.
The first and most important function of diplomacy is negotiations. “Negotiations between two representatives are a key component in diplomacy, because in doing so the representatives find a common interest.” As I mentioned above, interests are important for diplomacy and states which use diplomacy to find solutions. Common interest or finding a middle way in negotiations is so significant in terms of avoiding war or military action between states, It is much more safe, secure and simple rather than war, of course. For example, after the War of Independence of Turkey, there was Lousanne Conference to conclude the war. During this term, states did not have enough economic and military power to fight, so they used negotiation which is a function of diplomacy to find a middle way. As a result of negotiations, they found common interests and concluded the war. In this case, effective diplomacy matters.
The second function of diplomacy is “the gathering of information and subsequent identification and evaluation of the receiving state’s foreign policy goals”. As I mentioned above, diplomats should observe the country regarding economy, politics, culture, etc. After the observation, they gather information about country, are aware of environment in country, make some analysis, make some synthesis and make an inference about country. After these steps, they send inferences to own country and foreign policy or strategy of country is determined according to these inferences,. Gathering information is important because of these reasons. For example, during the 18th and 19th century, powerful states like Britain, France, Russia gathered some information about minorities of Ottoman Empire and they sometimes encouraged the minorities to get their independence and to weaken Ottoman Empire. They became successful, because minorities in Ottoman Empire got their independence and this conflicts in Ottoman Empire weakened it. As a result effective diplomacy matters.
The third function of diplomacy is expansion of political, economic, and cultural ties between two countries. It is also some kind of finding a middle way, again. With this function of diplomacy, states avoid the war or military action, because especially economic ties are so important. They shape their foreign policy according to economic interests rather than military capacity. For example, in Syria case, Turkey can not intervene to the Syria because of economic relations with Russia and China. Turkey must determined its foreign policy according to economic relations with Russia and China, because Turkish energy resources depend on Russia and Turkey buys cheap consumer products from China. As a result Turkey could not intervene to Syria because of its economic ties, effective diplomacy matters.
The fourth function of diplomacy is that “diplomacy is the facilitating or enforcing vehicle for the observation of international law”. International law is crucial to provide balance of power, to provide order as I mentioned above. In international system, diplomacy is a tool to enforce international law. It is some kind of checks and balances system for states. So, with diplomacy, states observe the attitudes of other states, check their attitudes in terms of legal or illegal and balance their policies with own policies. Thus we can say that also international law shapes diplomatic maneuvers of states. For example, states shape their foreign policy according to advantages of international law, sanctions of international law with diplomacy. As a result, effective diplomacy matters.
Although I mentioned that diplomacy is important for avoiding war and military action, military capacity of the state is important for even diplomacy. Because a huge or technological military capacity of a state is threat of other states. When state uses diplomacy, at the same time it should show its military power as a bluff to appear strong physically. As you mentioned in class, diplomacy without military power is something like music without instrument. Therefore military capacity also important for effective diplomacy.
Consequently I think, I proved that effective diplomacy matters with examples which are in above. In my opinion, states should use diplomacy rather than military power and effective diplomacy is important to find permanent solutions. And finally, effective diplomacy matters in all cases which are in universe.
