The Big Change In Müslüm Gürses' Style

As we know, Muslum Gurses died on 3rd March 2013. It was a big lost for Turkish Music. Nowadays we can watch his clips and listen his popular songs on televisions because of the anniversary of his death.
I want to mention the changes in his music style. As we know, he was a arabesque musician. His song involves some feelings which are loneliness, despair, and love. He and his songs was the voice of the rural sides and ghettos. Also he was symbol of the illegal life. His records were illegal and pirate. In concerts he and his fans used drugs. Moreover his fans injured themselves by blades. However in 1999 he wanted to change. He terminated the contract with Elanor Music which had been working with Muslum Gurses for 15 years. He had been trying to be legalise himself in Turkish Music. He changed his music style, he avoided to sing arabesk. He worked with famous artists such as Murathan Mungan, Bülent Ortaçgil, and Teoman. According to many commentators, he was the Leonard
Cohen of Turkey. There are some photos about this change.
